POSTING: Medical Director Pediatric Oncology Group of Ontario (POGO) AND POGO Chair in Childhood Cancer Control
The Pediatric Oncology Group of Ontario (POGO) is seeking a Medical Director which is associated with an endowed Chair in Childhood Cancer Control at the University of Toronto, tenable at any of the Faculties of Medicine/Health Sciences in Ontario; this unique combination sustains an interface between the academic sector, policy makers and healthcare providers united in the common goal of improving the circumstances of the children and adolescents in Ontario who are diagnosed with cancer, and their families. POGO is an inter-institutional, policy, planning and research entity that works closely with all pediatric oncology providers to coordinate childhood cancer control for the province of Ontario and advises Ontario’s Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care regarding healthcare policy for children with malignant disease. The term is five years, renewable for a further five-year term following a successful review in accordance with POGO and University policies. Effective date of appointment is August 1, 2016.
Salary for the position will be commensurate with qualifications and experience; and in the range of $200,000-$400,000 annually; plus, as applicable, any clinical fee for service as a result of the candidate’s activities.
