BUSY SIGNAL woes… what to do when you cannot dial into your teleconference.

Image result for phone busy signal

As more Canadians move towards TC-based meetings and working from home, the Canadian telecommunication network at large is witnessing a bottleneck of audio traffic and companies are trying to cope with the influx of audio demands, resulting in capacity challenges.

This translates into getting an unexpected busy signal when calling in to join a teleconference.

What should you do?

  • Hang up and try again. And again. And again.
  • Expect to require several attempts to get through.
  • Avoid the rush. Time permitting, do not leave dialing-in until the last minute when the lines are the busiest. Dial in early if possible.
  • If you are planning a call, consider starting on the quarter hour or another time that is not on the hour.
